We recommend labelling your batteries and to cycle through all your batteries evenly to prevent only using 1 or 2 batteries and leaving the 3rd one untouched for weeks/months. Creating a consistent cycle to key to a longer battery life. Ensure the terminals of your batteries are kept clean along with the chargers ports.

2. May 5, 2020. #5. German support told me, that swollen batteries can be replaced even after more than 12 months, because previous firmware set auto discharge to 10 days. This behaviour resulted in significant count of swollen batteries and is corrected in actual firmware versions to 3 days.
From my experience, batteries that are cycled (Used) seem to have a longer life span than one that sits for months at a time without. That includes batteries of all types like power tools. Again, that’s MY experience and my opinion.
